The suicidal turkey pet...Now, let me just say...When you receive this pet in your mailbox, he comes with a letter from Breanni asking you to watch over him and warning you to keep him away from fires because "he gets a strange look in his eyes."

Well, yeah. I guess if you could see his little face he might have a strange look in his eyes right before....
Ah HA! No spoilers here, thank you very much! I'll leave that to WoWhead and all these other sites to ruin the fun. I purposely avoided reading anything about the animations of this pet before getting it. I like the surprise.
Also, getting the Plump Turkey and the Tranquil Mechanical Yeti last night got me to 75 Companion Pets. I know...I'm so lame...But you know, I worked hard to get most of them. I mean, obviously some are from vendors only, but almost all of the world drop ones, I've farmed myself- with the exception of only a few that I have.
At any rate: Here's a screenie of the Fawn with Des in her Pilgrim's Dress.
Speaking of the Pilgrim's Dress...this is the first holiday where I've been able to get all of the available pieces of clothing from it. Hey, it's fun to put on something other than your armor once in awhile to roam around and pick flowers. I mean, I posted a screen shot of Des with her Guardian of Cenarius title- where she's wearing her Vestaments of Summer (or whatever they're called). Really cool looking dress. I happen to enjoy wandering around in that.
And thanks to Outfitter, I no longer accidentally attempt to tank or heal in my black dress...what...have I not told that story yet? Hmm, duly noted. I'll have to remember to tell you that story. It's definitely a part of the "Des Is Such a Noob" Chronicles. hehe

soon as i come out of stealth every guard for 500 paces seems to spot me and get to attack me b4 i can sit down !

Hmm, that's kind of strange. I will say this, though, that the ONLY Horde table I went to that I didn't get flagged was the one at Razor Hill in Durotar. I got flagged in Silvermoon and Thunder Bluff, even though they were not directly in the cities.
ReplyDeleteUndercity was INSIDE the city walls so...obviously I got flagged there. I'd try and talk some sense into the Ironforge guards for you...but they're dwarves. They're probably incredibly drunk...

got some of the snacks last night that allow you to see the turkeys on mini map and doing it this morning i was all alone so ran around for 2 mins and got all 40.....
that was my last achievement needed as i finished off the Ally cities one last night :)

i never got all the attire tbh only bothered with the ones i needed to get the other achieves.

The Turkinator was, by far, the most aggravating and difficult part of the Pilgrim Meta, imho.
ReplyDeleteIt wasn't hard, per se, just really annoying to have to compete with everyone else on the server all trying to do the same thing at the same time. I got lucky with it, I think. I just happened to wander through after someone had just gone through and I got all of their respawns. =)
