Quick Update: Pre- and Early Expansion Update

I am a horrible bear for not updating since I returned to the game a few months ago.  I feel really bad...kinda.  Things have been zomg CRAZINESS at work, which is generally where I used to update...and I wasn't really feeling too inspired.

I mean, I came back to the game about 2 months before the big, bad Cataclysm expansion.  The majority of players tend to get pretty lethargic that close to expansion time.  I mean, what's the point in raiding if the gear won't mean anything in just a few more weeks...

Anyway, I thought I'd post some quick updates.

For one, yes, I am down with Cataclysm.  I installed it the night it was released but I admit that I took a week before I even bothered trying to level my druid, mainly because I had assumed (and later confirmed) that all of the leveling zones were going to be jam-packed with questing competition and a bunch of same-faction griefing and nonsense.  I didn't want to deal with that.  I waited a few days for the huge initial rush to fade a bit then started the grind to 85.

Well, after pulling an all-nighter last night...(I've been awake for well over 24 hours now thanks to Real Life...figured I may as well get my game on while I'm stuck being awake anyway, right?)...I managed to hit 85 just before 5am this morning.  All...I want...to do...is...SLEEP right now.  Special thanks to Akil, Ren, Opi, and Ros for helping me out a bit with getting through that last push.  I couldn't have done it without you guys...so thank you!

Other updates:  

• When I started out my quest grind in Hyjal, I decided to go fishing in the river near the inn, you know, just for giggles to see what I'd catch.  A few casts in...I managed to get [Turtles All The Way Down!].  Yes, that means I got my sea turtle mount.  I was really, super excited about that!
• My hunter is level 51 now. 
• Mage is level 74
• Priest is level 62
• I have NOT rolled a worgen yet...that's coming up soon though, now that leveling my druid is taken care of and I don't have to think about it anymore.  Well I mean, I have to get her geared for raiding that begins in January, but that's a FAR more enjoyable grind than just questing to level.  End game spoils me.  Yes, I'm one of those players.
• I spent a LOT of time working on alts before Cataclysm was finally released.  I've finished off 2 zones, netting achievements for Mount Hyjal and Deepholm.  That's really it.  I tinkered a bit in Twilight Highlands, but that was just to finish up that last little bubble to 85 and I called it there.  
• Yes, eventually I will subject myself to re-doing Loremaster.  Right away?  Oh, absolutely not.  Eventually?  Yes.
• KINGSLAYER UPDATE - Yes, my druid DID get her Kingslayer on one of the last runs our guild took into Icecrown Citadel.  That's a story I'll tell you another time though.

It just occurred to me that I barely have the mental strength to breathe on my own, much less write an intelligent blog update today.  I am so tired.  Wish me luck on surviving the rest of my day at the office.  Tonight, I think I will rock out some dailies and go to bed early...IF...I can even stay up long enough to do dailies. 

I know this is a crappy entry.  I know it's been to long.  I can't apologize enough.
