Don't Heal Angry!!!

I think there comes a time in every healer's life when they see the invite pop up on their screen from their raid leader and suddenly feel the urge to feed orphaned kittens to hungry crocolisks...Or maybe that's just me.  I don't know.  I had been feeling this way for about 2 months because of a general frustration with egos and being on the bottom of our healing meter constantly after the nerf to restoration druids awhile back...that's part of why I haven't been posting at all recently.  I suppose another big reason for my absence here at LBT was that I've spent a great deal of time researching some of my other alts and healing strats for heroic encounters in Dragon Soul - which absorbed a lot of my downtime.

I keep wanting to stop in and post updates but as soon as I log in and start thinking of things to talk about - I remember that I wanted to look up whether or not the Glyph of Wild Growth is worth it...or when are the best times to pop into tree for Uber Healing POWAH on Heroic Hagara...and I set the blog aside to go figure that out.  As it turns out, lightning phase is a really good time to pop into tree form for Heroic Hagara.  Hey, at least I've spent my time away from BloggyLand learning things, right?

At any rate, my raiding misery seems to be coming to an end - which is good.  While I can't do anything about the egos and personalities that make me want to throw my computer through the nearest brick wall...yes...through the brick wall...I've managed to work my way up from the bottom of our healing ranks on most encounters.  That, in and of itself, has made me a much happier healer.  So, all in all I'm far happier - despite the jerks - in my raid life now.

I suppose I could give a few other updates...

Desarra

I had been working really hard on getting Desarra (my death knight) some tanking gear because the guild she is in seemed to need a few extra tanks.  She's about as geared as she can get for the time being and I have to say that Death Knight tanking is a LOT of fun.  I had tried it a little bit back in Wrath and once in Cataclysm, but I never quite got the hang of it until now and I'm really having a lot of fun with it.  I've actually managed to get into a PuG for Dragon Soul (Reg-10man) and we got to Ultraxion before a few people had to log for work.  It was pretty fun.

Elliannah
Elliannah used to be a male paladin...but I got tired of being called "bro".  I think I prefer female toons to male toons in general.  At any rate, I've been working on leveling her a little bit here and there.  She's still Prot/Holy, and yes...in her little portrait those are the mail heirloom healing shoulders.  They don't have any heirloom healing gear that is plate as far as I know...and she makes it look good!

I think I prefer death knight tanking over paladin tanking for right now, but that could always change when Elli gets to 85, right?

Dessie

Since I checked in last...Dessie has hit 85 and now has her 4pc (raid finder) tier set.  She's still Marskmanship, but I'm thinking of changing her secondary spec to try out Beast Mastery or Survival.  I'm not 100% sure what I want to do yet.  I think she's my favorite dps alt right now...probably because the MM hunter rotation is fairly simple and I can actually pay attention to what's going on in the fight instead of either staring at my hotbar or the health bars of 10 or 25 other people.

I have a friend in the guild my alts are in that wants me to level my warrior with his shaman.  Part of me wants to turn her human, because I absolutely despise female night elf battle-ready and fighting stances...but she has been one of the few that remain untouched since the day I created her and there are incredibly few Female Night Elf Warriors, at least on my server.  So she will probably be my next project, at least until my shammy friend catches up to my Healprotadin.  We'll see though.  I've tried warrior tanking a few times and I don't quite get it.  I suppose starting at level 43 and tanking my way to 85 will make it a little easier to learn...I hope.

Other than that, my main's guild has been working on heroic encounters so I guess I've just been researching a lot...and more research is next on my list of stuff to do today...yay for another boring post and yay for more nerdy research...

I think that's all the updates and boring stuff.  I would tell you that I'll be back sooner, rather than later, but you know...50 DKP MINUS?!?!?!  WTF!!!
